I filed this brief yesterday about a barn fire in Trenton before I found out that the barn was right next to a house that escaped damage. Steve Corson, assistant fire chief in Trenton rightly later commented on the BDN Hancock County Bureau Facebook page that “the real story” was the successful effort to save the house from damage (see photo below).

“Awesome job by all involved in saving the house,” Corson wrote.
