COA scholar video

Earlier this week I wrote a short article about three Maine college students who won Goldwater Scholarships. I just want to point out here that one of them, Kate Shlepr of COA, helped host my photographer colleague Kevin Bennett and me when we went out to Great Duck Island for a day trip last summer. Kate talked to us about what kind of effect bald eagles have been having on the island’s gull colonies. During our visit, she talked to us in this video about one eagle attack she witnessed on the island.
