Allen’s Coffee Flavored Brandy Sales

I like spreadsheets. I find them useful for organizing and maintaining data on election results, commercial fish landings, municipal property valuations, federal stimulus awards, and census figures.

I also use them to keep track of the annual list of Top 25 most popular brands and bottle sizes of liquor in Maine. In particular, they are useful to keep tabs on how much Allen’s Coffee Flavored Brandy is sold in Maine each year – and how much more popular it is than any other liquor you can think of.

So, here’s a link to my spreadsheets of Maine’s top-selling liquors. It has complete Top 25 lists for 2009, 2010 and 2011, with multi-unit totals from each of those years for the most popular brands. It also lists sales totals just for Allen’s CFB from 2004 through 2008. All of the data comes from the state Bureau of Alcoholic Beverages and Lottery Operations.
